Yvette is the voice of an angel... Yvette opens the gates within the heart, allowing for the Divine within to shine. Yvette's kirtans are breathtakingly beautiful and profoundly powerful.

To chant with Yvette is to reach deeply within. Many come simply to be in her enchanting presence, an effervescent Love and Light that emanates from her, illuminates and expands. Others are drawn to Yvette's kirtans for the uniquely intuitive and personal wisdoms she imparts in-between her chants. These wisdoms speak directly to and resonate with those who are present. Yet others attend without knowing why they are drawn to her, not yet knowing what they are seeking, but quickly discover the power of her luminous light. There is a special serenity surrounding her aura of beauty and contentment that permeates and penetrates.

Blending Traditional Eastern music with Western Popular melody, Yvette has reinvented the art of Kirtan in her unique way of peaking energetic waves of mantra with spontaneous vocal harmony, spiraling sound and song to new heights of beauty, power and awareness. Yvette's style of kirtan is unusually harmonic, bringing in all the colors of the chakras to dance with each other and in turn, inspiring those present to join in the dance. The many layers of Yvette's kirtans offer something for everyone.

Influenced by Deva Premal, Wah!, Donna De Lory, and Snatum Kaur, Yvette brings her own unique style and experience, blending her original English songs intertwined with Sanskrit mantras, gently transmuting to spaces of equanimity. A highly trained and skilled professional singer and songwriter, Yvette hypnotizes the soul into a state of mystical absorption.

Kirtan raises our subtle vibration, surpassing the worries and the stresses of the mind, creating the space for the Divine Intellect to surface. As OM is the Universal sound, the all inclusive vibration that exists in all things, so Mantras, a variation of Om, tune us into seemingly separate aspects of the Self, stimulating and clearing specific chakras, returning a sense of well-being back into our stream of consciousness. With focused intention the Kirtan creates higher waves of energy increasing our potential for intuition, True Love and Universal Wisdom.

Bhakti music is the music of love and devotion. Yvette's songs are creations of the Divine Love that exists in all things. Written in English and Sanskrit, the melodies will uplift the spirit, while centering and deepening our awareness. Live bhakti music during a yoga class supports the yoga teacher and lends a sacred organic presence and flow to the practice.

Yvette is featured annually at Yoga Unites, celebrating 8 years of major fundraising for breast cancer awareness, held on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum each spring.
