AWAKENING LOVE
Love is the spring that frees the soul!
When we are in Love with ourselves and our world our soul aligns with its essential nature.
What is Love?
That part of ourselves that lights up when we experience the Divine through peaceful thoughts and intimate interactions with each other.
Despite this Universal Truth and often in response to the turmoil and challenges of our day we may  (whether conscious or unconscious) close off that inner spring which starves the soul of  its nourishment in exchange for percieved safety.
Yet every morning the wonder of a bird flying up in the sky still calls to us and to our soul's capacity to be free.
Also when we hear the harmony in music stirring our inner spring it is  a call to Love.
Science has shown us that as we age and our memory/intelligence/logic fade, the last to go is our relationship with music and love songs.
And so we sing!
Sacred Sounding in particular can feed that inner spring.
The mantra Aham Prema which means I Am Love will be one of the mantras we delve into to awaken the heart.
Whether under the canopy of open sky ...
Within the quiet of a temple or the comfort of  home;
Whether in unison in celebration ...
or in the whisper of one soul ...
Whether we think we sound good enough or not …
We Are All Soundmakers.
Our Bhakti Immersion 2024 ~ Awakeing Love welcomes beginner soundmakers, seasoned chanters and everything in between.
The Bhakti Weekend will be in the beautiful  Temenos Retreat Center!
Temenos is a small retreat center nestled in the hills of southern Chester County on a secluded 56-acre nature sanctuary, yet only 1 hours drive from NJ and center city, and ten minutes from downtown West Chester, PA. The retreat space was designed to appreciate the surrounding natural beauty befriended by Eric Wright, the grandson of Frank Lloyd Wright.
The incredible land and center provides a comfortable, beautiful, serene setting for deeply immersing in Bhakti, the yoga of love and connection into your ebullient Truth and Joy!
There are hiking trails, a lovely water-view area and many quiet places for reflection and meditation and small group processes. Â The quiet space at Temenos is ideal for our greatest expansion and renewal.
You can sleep late or get up early and join in morning meditation and/or gentle yoga. Use break times to write, read, draw, walk amidst the tall trees, listen to birds and brook, explore the big mysteries of life or simply do nothing at all.
