Service Description

This handy free reed instrument is often heard at the end of yoga classes or played as the main accompanying instrument for Kirtan. In the sacred homes of India, families gather regularly to chant with the harmonium, the drum and kartals. Lovingly nicknamed the ‘Laymans’ Piano’, harmoniums do not require years of vigorous training to sound beautiful. The harmonium drone is sweet, mellifluous and calming. A great addition to any meditation practice.
